A Heartbreaking New Stance On Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss In Loving Memory Of Someone

I adore the first season of Hazbin Hotel for its vibrant animation, adult humour and amazing songs and I think the four-year wait was worth it [61] [62] [65] [67], despite a few problems the season has [78] [96] [97], but before I could finally embrace the musical sinfulness [63], a tragedy occurred nearly a month before the premiere [79]. It was bad enough that there have been issues corrupting the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss fandom’s image [7] [77], such as footage of “Queen Bee” being leaked from Pateron in an unauthorised manner around the Christmas break of 2021 [4] [32] [72] [84], but this is possibly the worst tarnishing of the fandom imaginable, much to my dismay. The suicide of a young hazbean was reported during the Christmas break of 2023 [19] [45]. You may recall when a fan of Steven Universe attempted suicide after being harassed by some others for drawing a character in a different body type back in October 2015 and how horrifying it was to hear about [5] [33], but in this case of something as unspeakable as bullycide, an innocent fan’s life was lost [20] [45] [46] [71] [73] [99]. I have been looking forward to the rest of the second season of Helluva Boss and the second season of Hazbin Hotel after the success of the first one [9] [42], but that excitement has, unfortunately, been decreased because of the suicide of a hazbean who felt like they had no place in the fandom anymore [45].

I am NOT writing about this incident for clout as it is a subject I take very seriously and genuinely feel sickened about [19] [45]. It was also bad enough that the famous image of Jeff the Killer was rumoured to have been created from a photograph of someone who committed suicide due to bullying before the claim was disproven and a young girl was almost stabbed to death because of two friends of hers believing that the Slender Man was real in 2014 [2] [3] [35] [48]. As much as I still stand by how I do not condone any harassment against those who insulted me for being a video game journalist back in December 2021 as I lamented on the issue at the time [93], I do not condone any hate or harassment against anyone involved in the incident to “avenge” the fan who never got to see what they were looking forward to and was nicknamed “Shay” [45], so please do not start another flame war within the aftermath of mourning the loss of a heartbroken hazbean. [63]

Just to clarify, I was never involved in the harassment as I do not engage in ridiculous shipping wars. I stopped tweeting on X, formerly known as “Twitter” in July 2023 after feeling like I had no other choice and I have hardly socialised on certain Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss Discord servers due to how busy I tend to be with writing [45]. However, I am still consumed by guilt as a fan of the Hellverse as someone who I was in a toxic friendship with called me a “Helluva Boss simp”, claimed that the termination of their YouTube channel was my fault and warned me that if I blocked them, they would commit suicide and their blood would be on my hands about a month later as that was how they felt when they were blamed for the alleged suicide of someone they knew. Nearly a year ago before that, a content creator lashed out at me, calling me the C-word and threatening to commit suicide if I did not stay quiet all because I suggested that they change their username to move on from their trauma [44]. Despite my laments, this is not about me. This is about mourning the loss of a fellow hazbean and hoping that we can prevent another suicide in the Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss fandom [19] [20] [45].

Despite how I was never involved in the situation described in a Google document [19] [45], I feel like I have some partial responsibility to warn you about how far toxicity can go as a hazbean who has analysed and reviewed eleven episodes of Helluva Boss and doing so could potentially make up for how I failed to address the allegations of a toxic working environment at SpindleHorse during the production of the first season of Helluva Boss and such. I want the prevention of another suicide in the fandom from happening, along with healthy working conditions at SpindleHorse being maintained more than I want the writing of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss to be even better [23] [52] [60]. [58]

Shay was missing the older times of being a hazbean when they felt safer and much happier in the community [45]. To be honest, I am starting to miss the older times of being a hazbean as it was a coping mechanism for me from 2020 to Spring 2022, despite the issues I had with “Spring Broken” and “C.H.E.R.U.B.” [49] [55] [94] [95]. Moreover, I still have nothing against any hazbeans preferring the continuities of the pilots and old Voxtagram stories as I still see some wasted potential of the pre-Season One images in the art quality of the pilot for Helluva Boss on the accounts representing the main Helluva Boss characters [15] [16] [25] [26] [27] [54]. I began to pick up some aspects of toxicity since the premiere of the second season, such as blatant insults at the fandom that come off as unfairly generalising on Twitter/X [17]. Speaking of insults, Shay claimed that they were yelled at and called names throughout the storm of a “Us vs. Them” mentality in a Discord server and felt lied about almost all ships being tolerated [19] [45]. It is devastating how Shay ended up feeling like the years she spent as a hazbean were wasted and felt used and shunned as an old fan of the Hellaverse during the gathering of newer fans excited for the premiere of the first season of Hazbin Hotel [45].

Even though the concept of Hell’s version of Instagram in Helluva Boss was revived as “Sinstagram” in “Ozzie’s” and “Seeing Stars” and potentially made up for the controversy surrounding the Instagram account representing Octavia known as “gothchk17” that was a red flag in early 2021 [14] [53] [56], I have a feeling that there are some fans who are thankfully still alive but still miss the times when being a hazbean did not seem like being chained to toxicity as much, quite like how Shay felt before they took their own life [45]. The speculation that Shay was autistic makes this subject even more distressing to me as I am autistic and I had suicidal thoughts before [1] [19] [85]. I wish someone would have told them that being alone does not always mean being lonely [38]. [56]

Shay was a supporter of RadioDust who felt ambushed by the toxicity surrounding the support for HuskerDust [19] [45]. I admire the gradual progression in Angel Dust and Husk’s relationship in the first season of Hazbin Hotel, most notably the song “Loser, Baby”, which is what makes me see the full potential of HuskerDust and praise parts of Husk and Angel Dust’s character developments [64]. I can also see why many would ship Charlastor [49], even though I prefer Chaggie, not just because it is canon [66]. I may not see the likeliness of RadioDust [49], but I hold no ill will towards that ship. Furthermore, it was repulsive how witch-hunting was affecting Shay in a highly unnecessary shipping war [45]. And of course, not every hazbean has to ship Stolitz from Helluva Boss [54] [56] [58]. Besides, I can see the possibility of Stolas finding a new male love interest after the events of the music video for the canonised version of “Look My Way” and “Full Moon”, the forthcoming eighth episode of the second season [42] [59] [94] [95]. I completely sympathise with how Shay felt throughout the difficult time they went through as when I was still a fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise [45], I felt ambushed when supporting the overhated shipping from Sonic ’06 known as “SonElise”, which is one of the reasons why I no longer consider myself a “Sonic fan”, but I still appreciate other SonElise supporters’ defence [18] [74] [75].

A fellow hazbean of Shay’s by the name of “Liv” did their best to console Shay during their struggles [45], quite like how I tried to help two fans who felt left out of a project proposed by Eric Schwartz, the voice of Chaz from “Exes and Oohs” last Summer [28] [29] [30] [51] [87] [88], but got blatantly misunderstood while they were being called out for seeking sympathy the wrong way [6] [8] [34], which made me quit Twitter/X. Liv deserves some admiration for their nobility and honesty [45], so please show them some compassion as many other hazbeans still consider the Hellaverse a coping mechanism. [51]

Although I am disgusted at the religious belief in committing suicide directing you straight to Hell [69] [83], no matter how good you have been as a person, I hope that a big part of the Heaven for Shay is an alternative interpretation of Hazbin Hotel where RadioDust is canon and is probably about as wholesomely and realistically portrayed as FizzarOzzie in Helluva Boss [44] [52]. I also hope that more critical takes on Hazbin Hotel will not use such a tragedy solely as an excuse to bash it, along with the fanbase and even justify insults towards the staff at SpindleHorse [39]. [64]

I feel so disgusted and awful about what happened to an innocent RadioDust shipper that I should probably stop reviewing episodes of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss altogether at some point [19] [45], but please do not blame the fandom as a whole [21]. Suicide is a subject I take very seriously, which is why I consider “C.H.E.R.U.B.” my least favourite episode of the first season of Helluva Boss [89] [90], but I have nothing against it being dedicated to the mother of Adolfo Rodriguez, a clean-up artist for some episodes [36] [50] [70], much like how “Ozzie’s” was dedicated to Steve Dorian, another clean-up artist who went by the username “Lemony Fresh” [37] [53] [82]. I nearly lost my passion for blogging twice in 2023…and I might lose my love for Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss [19] [45] [94] [95], like how I lost my love for creepypastas in October 2015 [98], but again, this is not about me. This is about hoping to not let such a tragedy like this happen again. I hope that Vivienne Medrano or anyone else at SpindleHorse will take some time to reflect on this tragedy [43] [47] [76], even though they are not to blame for the harassment that pushed Shay into taking their own life [22] [45], so please refrain from attacking Medrano and even attempting to dox her [41] [43], in spite of her following some of Shay’s harassers on Twitter/X [45] [81].

 

I never thought I would go from critically acclaiming “That’s Entertainment” and hoping for the best outcome of the first season of Hazbin Hotel outside of YouTube [49] [91] [92]…to paying my respects to someone who adored the intellectual property since the days of the pilot and old Voxtagram stories and feeling guilty about what happened to them [45]. I feel trapped in a never-ending cycle at this point [96]. In loving memory of a fan who sadly committed suicide due to being ganged up on and feeling abandoned as an old fan of the Hellaverse [19] [45], let us refrain from cyberbullying and be kind to one another. My deepest condolences go out to Shay’s friends, family and the one who wrote the Google document nicknamed “Liv”. May they rest in peace. [59]

Despite the possibility of me no longer being a hazbean because of the guilt about Shay taking their own life due to cyberbullying [20] [45], I was told that I am not a bad person for admiring the Hellaverse [40]. I have tried my best to be as honest and respectful about the tragedy affecting me and my love for it as I can, but I deeply apologise if anything seems inconsiderate. Again, please call the suicide crisis helpline in your nation if you are feeling suicidal [86]. Also, please show some support for Cristina Vee, the voice of Verosika Mayday who felt like she had no choice but to leave Twitter/X due to harassment over a blatant misunderstanding [24] [31] [68] [80]. [53]

It’s Fred – A Short-Lived Series of Animated Absurdity

This is a review of an animated web series that contains dark humour, flashing effects and racial insensitivities. Reader discretion is advised.

HEY, IT’S LAURAAAAAA!!! Admittedly, watching videos of Fred Figglehorn, the hyperactive internet sensation created by Lucas Cruikshank back in late 2006 [40]. Figglehorn’s popularity grew on the YouTube channel Cruikshank created in 2008 but eventually sold around 2014 is a guilty pleasure as I enjoy a healthy dose of nostalgia now and then [16] [34] [47] [48]. All four seasons of the web series starring Fred are a reminder of the simpler times [30] [31] [41] [42] [45]. After a conclusion in South Korea [48], Cruikshank reprised his role of the character at some point in 2015 but eventually deleted his comeback titled “Where Is FRED Now?” due to how it seemed more like a self-parody of his creation [16]. Speaking of self-parody, Fred returned on TikTok in quite an enthusiastic manner in 2020 [13]. Aside from those rehashes, what else was there when the crazy kid was still somehow at his peak, despite the overwhelmingly negative reception of Fred: The Movie [56] [57] [93]? Well, shortly after the first and only season of Figgle Chat, an internet talk show hosted by Figglehorn [35] [36], he announced that he would become the star of another web series…that would be animated [28] [29]. Nearly a dozen years after the web series’ unfortunate conclusion, let us reflect on how hackin’ chaotic the series was from late 2011 to early 2012 [54]. 

Believe it or not, Fred was even parodied in that episode of the fourth season of Johnny Test titled “Johnny Tube” [61] [62]. Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred can be considered a little better than Fred: The Movie [58], but Fred 3: Camp Fred can be considered worse than the two [59]. Seriously? The name “Camp Iwannapeepee” is basically the toned-down equivalent of “Camp Ivannakummore” from “Unhappy Campers” [59] [93], the fifth episode of the second season of Helluva Boss [68]! Fred may not be considered highly popular to cosplay as, compared to D.va from Overwatch, Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise, 2B from NieR: Automata, and Link from The Legend of Zelda due to his irrelevance these days [60], but now is the time to reflect on a less recognisable and favourable interpretation of his life. [61]

Now, keep in mind that just because Fred Figglehorn has been considered one of the most annoying YouTubers in YouTube history [56] [85], does not mean that we should be spiteful towards the guy who created him, even if his current content does not interest you either [93]. Heck, do I blatantly insult TikTokers and what they do just because I do not like the platform? Absolutely not since I know that there can still be great people on there, despite the offensive and dangerous trends that occurred [1] [65]! Please do not spread any hate when it comes to yours truly getting critical under fair use. And now, on with the review! [24]

I understand that Fred is meant to be a rather flawed character who has issues and provides some teenaged edge [34] [42] [43] [45], but the writing of the web series has affected his likeability as his motives have been questionable, such as how unhesitant he was to get his mother into trouble and get put for adoption solely to live with Judy, which is an example of how unsettlingly obsessed he is with her [26] [43]. What is worse is how insincere he was about her grandmother’s death and how he only attended the funeral and lied about knowing the poor elderly woman just to try to bond with her in “Fred Goes to a Funeral” [33]. Well, at least he learned not to judge those who wear a burqa solely by the deplorable misdeeds of Islamic terrorists at the end of the most troubling episode known as “Fred Gets a Foreign Exchange Student” [27], even though he could have NOT claimed to have dug “all the way to China” at one point of his first film [56]. Despite his flaws in It’s Fred, Fred Figglehorn still has that “so bad it is actually amusing” charm in the original live-action web series that ran from 2006 to 2014 [31] [34] [42]. 

Hopefully, a likely relationship between the Ken who has the potential to find his own identity and a new brunette “Stereotypical” Barbie in light blue attire in a follow-up to Barbie: The Movie can be a lot healthier and more rationally portrayed than Fred’s reckless antics to win Judy’s affection and the stalkerish alternatives he commits in It’s Fred [26] [33] [111]. [26]

What is there to say about the other characters? Unlike the original web series [41] [42], Judy, Fred’s crush is quite kind to Fred at times [25], much like the interpretation of her in Fred: The Movie played by Pixie Lott [56] [67]. The incarnation of Kevin, the school bully in It’s Fred and the prime antagonist of the original live-action series is pretty much Kevin from Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy V2.0 [38] [44] [55] [101]. At least the hazbeans suspecting that Stella might be a toxic mother to Octavia on weekends in the future of Helluva Boss have not seen her being as neglectful and self-centred as Fred’s mother in It’s Fred [69], as faithful as that is in the original live-action series on YouTube [30] [40]. The portrayal of Fred’s father who appeared in “Fred Makes A Diorama” is quite different, compared to the portrayal of him played by John Cena in the film trilogy [22] [56] [57] [58] [59]. It is quite interesting to allow unseen characters to be seen in a different interpretation of a floating timeline, but to me, such a featurette works better in a big finale of a television series as part of a main character’s character development, like the appearance and portrayal of Eddy’s older brother in the finale of Ed, Edd n Eddy [87].

Coincidentally enough, Jake Weary, the actor who played the role of Kevin in the movie trilogy also voiced Kevin in It’s Fred [54] [55]. Judy’s portrayal is okay [25] [33], but at least she did not become a depressed…dancer [64]. [44]

Oddly enough, the name of Fred’s mother is “Cherie” in It’s Fred [23], but it is “Hilda” in the film trilogy [53]. The same applies to Kevin’s surname being changed to “Dawg” in Fred: The Show [55]. Personally, I am not a fan of that kind of contradiction, but I guess I can let it slide if it is part of an alternative universe, which is not clearly applied to It’s Fred. [23]

The visuals are…not the best I have seen in a cartoon [23] [25] [26] [27] [44]. The animation is almost as choppy as the animation in The Slim Shady Show [92]. The character designs are…quite interesting to say the least [25] [26] [37] [38]. I am up for a cartoony art style with some surreal aspects of anatomy, but some body proportions in It’s Fred are a little uncanny and off-putting. Many necks look compressed and unideal for supporting heads. Why do the characters’ noses always look sunburnt? And look at his mother’s breasts that Conker the Squirrel would consider part of a platform game [70]! She and Kevin have slender bodies [23] [25] [33] [44], unlike how they would be described in the original live-action web series [41] [42] [55]. Judy looks quite like her live-action incarnation in Fred: The Movie with her long blonde hair and feminine fashion sense [23] [25] [56] [57]. The backgrounds are like what you would see in an episode of Garfield Originals or the third and fourth seasons of Dexter’s Laboratory; minimal and not very vibrant with mediocre details [86] [96] [97] [98] [99]. Fred has been animated in several different art styles, such as a claymation scene in the “Christmas Is Creepy” music video [24], but in the case of a web series, the animation can either be impressive on its own accord or considered a downgrade [23] [25] [26] [68] [69]. 

Do the characters really need to constantly bob their heads when they are talking? It is a little unnecessary, but not as irritating as the constant whipcracks to exaggerate characters’ movements in Johnny Test [61]. I like the colour palettes on the characters though. Furthermore, at least there are no unneeded and tacky jump cuts, aside from the vague ones in the intros and outros and the art style is not as freaky as the art style in the “Tater Haters” music video…and the creepy doll [24] [50]. [32]

There should have been a disclaimer stating that an episode contains flashing effects at the beginning of “Fred Makes a Diorama” and “Fred Gets A Monkey” [25] [38]. An example is when Fred gets tasered by two prison guards in “Fred Makes a Diorama”. Moreover, I do not recommend them to those who have epilepsy. [38]

Looking back at It’s Fred as an adult, I am afraid that I find the humour too mean-spirited at times, which is what Fred: The Movie was criticised for [56] [57]. This is coming from a fan of Helluva Boss but it at least provides some depth for Moxxie’s character aside from the slapstick and such he gets [117] [118] [122] [123]. A few examples include Fred’s mother making him sleep in the boiler room [37]. Speaking of mean-spirited, the series has been criticised for its racist moments, most notably the portrayals of the foreign exchange students Fred and Kevin bring to school in the last episode [27]. Another racist moment would be when Judy gets a call from an Asian couple who are inconsiderately designed and portrayed in “Fred Uses a Spork” [44]. And disturbingly enough, one of the prison guards in “Fred Makes a Diorama” looks like Adolf Hitler [38]. Yikes. Well, at least the irony is a little decent, most notably in “Fred Gets Adopted” [26]. It’s Fred is nowhere near as shocking as the Alfred Alfer series created by Emily Youcis and The Slim Shady Show in terms of celebrity endorsement [92] [115] [116], but how controversial the last episode is [27], along with the overwhelmingly negative reception of Fred: The Show must be the reason why only one season was produced [94] [95]. I can forgive Fred for mistaking an Australian accent for how we British folks speak though [49].

Quite similarly to how identical Fadila turned out to be to Fred and how identical “Hillbilly” Kevin is to Kevin [26] [27], I can imagine a similar concept for interesting a new character Chuck E. Cheese character who is identical to Chuck E, but speaks in an Australian accent and wears an outfit that references the “Cool Chuck” era if Charlie Cheese’s, Chuck E. Cheese’s Australian counterpart was still running to his day [17] [102] [103]. However, if you want to see a moment of race swapping done more considerately, check out some splendid cosplaying at conventions [6] [7]. And speaking of cosplaying, it sure is fun to cosplay while gaming [76]. Can you imagine Fred playing a game like Minecraft if Cruikshank was still motivated to keep the original Fred series running after 2014 [76] [77] [78]? [27]

What else is there to say about the writing of It’s Fred? In spite of how off-putting the mean-spiritedness can be [23] [26] [33] [44], the tone still makes the animated series quite faithful to what made the live-action series infamously famous in the first place [34] [39] [43], aside from notable differences in terms of offscreen characters becoming seen [54] [55]. However, the pacing of each episode is rather swift, considering how short they are and how Fred is a fast talker, which is the polar opposite of the build-up leading to disturbing moments in an episode of Salad Fingers [120] [121], but still makes me not recommend the series to those who seek writing as it nearly as exceptional as Squid Game or the earlier seasons of The Simpsons [105] [107] [108] [109]. I understand that the pacing in a story can differ, depending on the genre, but chances are that it can still end up leaving an ineffective impact, which is how some hazbeans felt about the pacing of “Seeing Stars”, the second episode of the second season of Helluva Boss [3]. The same problem in terms of pacing applies to the first season of Mr. Pickles [74]. It’s Fred may not be one of the best-written animated web series in the early 2010s [25] [26] [27] [32] [37] [38], but it is quite refreshing to look back on what I remember watching back then.

I still applaud the writing of the second season of Helluva Boss improving in its sixth episode [4]. Oddly enough, Fred did not sing his heart out once throughout the whole and only season of It’s Fred, yet singing has been one of his traits since his debut in 2006 [18] [40] [52]. I guess the writers believed that a moment of him singing might not fit anywhere in each premise of each fast-paced episode. On a lighter note, there is something quite unique about him beginning each episode by greeting the viewer, exclaiming how terrible the events of it were and telling them what happens at the beginning as a running gag that is followed by an outro set in the same exact moment after the events, as full of himself it makes him [25] [27] [33] [38] [44]. [25]

What if It’s Fred was renewed for a second season? Perhaps Fred could have worn a light blue equivalent of his T-shirt that has been a little more recognisable than the red one throughout the original live-action web series’ run [42] [45]. Bertha, Fred’s friend who was first mentioned in “Fred Meets Bertha” and appeared in Fred: The Movie and its sequels could have appeared in an episode playing a supporting role [39] [56] [58] [59]. Claudio, another character played by Cruikshank could have made an appearance in an episode as the antagonist he was in his live-action debut back in early 2011 [19] [30]. The humour ought to have been less mean-spirited with no racist jabs as a sign of faintly improved writing. However, even though the writing of Mr. Pickles became less choppy with better pacing in the second season [2], it is still considered a flawed animated series with too much reliance on raunchiness and would have been better off as a witty survival horror game instead [74].  As previously mentioned, the negative reception of Fred: The Show and the racially insensitive aspects of the final episode of It’s Fred must have been part of why Cruikshank eventually retired the character until a few years later [13] [27] [48] [94] [95].
 

The art style and writing in It’s Fred are the polar opposite of the art style and writing of Kelly’s Dream Club, also known as ‘Shelly’s Dream Club” [83] [84]. Yes, two episodes of that series are another childhood memory of mine. It may be over a decade too late for a second season of It’s Fred, but at least there is plenty of time to think about how a stage musical adaptation of Barbie: The Movie can be more than passable before the concept can be brought into action [10] [113] [114]. [27]

Sort of like how the flow of the plots got less choppy in the second season of Mr. Pickles as a vague improvement [2] [74], It’s Fred could have lasted for another season with less mean-spiritedness and possibly a moment of him singing at a fitting moment, such as a moment when he gets to sing on stage as part of a choir in an episode titled “Fred Joins a Choir”. I smell some wasted potential, sort of like how some potential for Stella from Helluva Boss was wasted at the beginning of its second season [69] [104] [110] [111]. [33]

Any more missed opportunities that could have been hit in a second season of It’s Fred? Perhaps an episode could have been centred on Fred once again trying to survive the bloodthirstiness of a certain vampire whose role is reprised by Kelly Landry (even if there will be any corny Twilight references) [52] [63]. After all, the plot of the music video was ultimately unsolved. Yes, the animation in the cartoon version of the first Annoying Orange video had more ap-PEAL-ing animation (*insert annoying laugh here*) [9], but it would not hurt to have another crossover between Fred and the Annoying Orange in a second season of It’s Fred [9] [31]. Ted Tigglecorn could have hosted his own talk show at some point in a second second [51]. Speaking of talk shows, can you imagine who would have made a special guest appearance in Figgle Chat if it was renewed for a second season as well [35] [36]? I have nothing against the concept of a talk show hosted by a talkative character, as uninspired as it sounds to an extent, but I personally think it can work a bit better with a more critically acclaimed character like Deadpool [100]. As for another season of It’s Fred, it probably would have happened if the motivation has been there at the time of the first season’s production and episode releases.

I mean, c’mon! What was the point of labelling a full playlist of episodes as “(insert title of the series) – Season 1” if there was never a second season [20]? I can let this inconvenience slide if there really were plans for a second season though. Speaking of a second season, I shall look forward to damnation to the second season of Hazbin Hotel after how surprised and satisfied I have been with the first one [66] [67] [79] [80] [81]. The same applies to the second season of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off that was teased [106]. [20]

In conclusion, It’s Fred was an experiment that was…interesting to an extent but consisted of what made Fred Figglehorn a universally hated character to begin with and ended with a controversial finale [27] [85], leading to the potential for a second season being wasted [32] [33] [37] [38] [44]. I do not recommend the series to Josh Strider, also known as “PhantomStrider” on YouTube [93] [94] [95] [119], but if he wishes to rip it a new one with his significant other who is known as “Nin” [72] [88] [89] [90] [91], he can go right ahead. If you still loathe Fred to this day [85], that is fine, but I do not recommend insulting those who loved him back in the day solely for the opposite opinion. Heck, personally, if I was Stephen King, the author of Carrie, The Shining and many more, I would regret publicly claiming that Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight saga “couldn’t write a darn” back in 2010 [5] [125]. Aside from looking back at what we could have done better back in the day, proactivity is precious as there will be some new character exploration for Knuckles the Echidna in Knuckles on Paramount+ this April [73], Disney devotees will be curious about the seventh season of Disney Speedstorm after the sixth season and a Super Nintendo World in Orlando will open as part of Universal Epic Universe sometime next year [71] [75] [123]. Peace out, home dog!
 

There was potential to expand on the legacy of Doug Derky, another character created by Cruikshank outside of the Fred series, but it probably would have ended up a bit too much like Fred’s in terms of dark and mean-spirited humour [21]. Oh, boy! More wasted potential! Can you imagine Doug making a special guest appearance if there was a second season of Figgle Chat [21] [35] [36]? What another missed opportunity! As for It’s Fred, would you consider It’s Fred to be an animated atrocity like Horrid Henry, Mysterious Mr. Enter [82]? Be my guest! [21]

I would be interested to see Cruikshank react to It’s Fred and reflect on its production in a new video on his YouTube channel and I wish him and his family all the best [11] [12] [14]. I hope that he is well outside of social media to this day, despite being let go by Hollywood [15]. See you this Summer Halloween [46]! [38]
