Tom Is Yet To Chase Jerry In New York

New York is a fantastic and iconic city, isn’t it? I remember watching a film about a boy named Kevin getting lost there after getting on the wrong plane when I was a child [15]. I also remember watching several incarnations of an iconic duo that have been fighting for years. Who would have thought Tom and Jerry would go after each other in New York [11] [29], despite the mixed and negative reception of their live-action movie earlier this year [7] [21]? Surely, the film was not as uninspired as Tom and Jerry being slapped on animated versions of certain classic movies to some of us [35] [36]. At least some crossovers are way more fitting, such as the forthcoming film, Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby Doo Meets Courage The Cowardly Dog [33]. It has been a week since the trailer for a brand new Tom and Jerry series was released and there is quite a lot of potential [11], so sharpen your claws because we are about to pounce our way through an analysis of the trailer for during the time the third season of Hello Kitty Fun is still being sporty and adorable for fellow kitties in Mexico and South America [12] [13] [14]!

What will be next? Tom and Jerry in Paris? Perhaps Jerry can learn how to cook [19]. [11]

I appreciate the forthcoming series for basing a new setting on a real-life city for the iconic pair of frenemies in order to try something quite refreshing and at least more original than one of the laughably unneeded crossovers in the history of animation [36]. It looks no unauthorised animals will be allowed in the Royal Gate Hotel. When it comes to being a daring rodent like Jerry, rules like that are to be challenged. Spike is seen attacking Tom once again, meaning that he will still be as aggressive as he has always been. Could his adorable son also make an appearance? We also see characters from some of the classic shorts, such as Quacker, Jerry’s friend who is a duckling and Toodles Galore, Tom’s love interest [27] [32], leading to some familiar yet possibly fresh portrayals. I am sure the adorable Tuffy might reprise his role as Jerry’s nephew in an episode [26]. I would dread to see how Muscles, Jerry’s tough cousin would confront George, Tom’s cousin who is afraid of mice if the two appear in the forthcoming series [24] [25]. Aside from theories on how some furry and feathered friends will be portrayed, there will be some comparisons with other incarnations, including Tom and Jerry Tales [3].

Butch will return in the forthcoming series as an assistant for Tom. I wonder why he is wearing a fancy turban whilst knocking Jerry out with a small mallet. [11]

There appears to be some new characters for Tom to try and not to provoke. I doubt that he will succeed though. Sorry, Thomas. [11]

I have noticed that the art style of the forthcoming series is highly similar to the art style in The Tom and Jerry Show, the modern adaption that premiered back in early 2014 [2] [11] [28] [29]. I like how vibrant the colours of the characters are, but compared to the two special shorts, I can see why plenty of us would prefer the colours and designs of the duo in those as they resemble a little more of what they looked like in the classics and look less saturated [22] [30]. I am afraid that the new CGI art style for them in their live-action movie only works well in some moments, leaving me feeling fairly neutral towards it [7]. As for Tom and Jerry in New York, I also like how the backgrounds are convincingly detailed in rather realistic colour palettes, especially the reception area at the Royal Gate Hotel [11]. Another example would be how the ocean in the scene where the furry rivals are at a pier has a faint reflection of moonlight, which shows a little extra effort. I can theorise that Tom and Jerry in New York is a successor taking place after the live-action movie with the same art style as The Tom and Jerry Show as that series ended back in January [28] [29].

I like how there will be a small variety of settings set in an animated interpretation New York in the forthcoming series, such as an arcade as it can increase the likeliness of the plot in each episode being at least interesting for the audience as solid proof of research on what travelling to New York is like being taken seriously is shown. [11]

I also admire the effort put into other specific backgrounds, especially this interpretation of the Times Square Billboards in the city that never sleeps as Toodle Galore is featured as a cat used for advertising cat food and there are other advertisements on big screens. This is another prime example of highly convincing research for a cartoon that is set in New York [18]. [11]

As we know, cartoon slapstick has been Tom and Jerry’s best selling point for many generations. Examples of cartoon slapstick featured in the trailer for Tom and Jerry In New York include:

·        Butch hitting Jerry in the head with a tiny mallet [11]

·        Tom slipping over a trail of marbles [11]

·        Spike whacking Tom with a slice of meat [11]

·        A plate smashing into Tom’s face, shaping his head into one [11]

·        Tom almost falling into a crocodile’s mouth [11]

·        Tom running into a rubbish bin [11]

·        Tom getting sucked into a vacuum cleaner [11]

·        Jerry biting Tom’s tail [11]

I admire the classic shorts for how creative the slapstick can be without any blood and gore whatsoever, but I understand why modern adaptions toned it down just a notch for newer standards, such as removing usage of dynamite and matches [6] [9]. Call me a social justice warrior all you want, but I am glad that we no longer tolerate any mockery towards African-Americans during scenes that are meant to be comedic in the Tom and Jerry franchise [5] [8]. At least some toned down slapstick would be more “Tom and Jerry” than no slapstick at all as I recall the Tom and Jerry: The Movie from the 1990s being criticised for it suddenly became a completely different premise [23] [31].

PWNAGE!! [11]

It is also quite amusing to see Tom tap dance in tap shoes, which is an example of how quirkiness that is not particularly slapstick can enhance to wit of the show. [11]

Tom and Jerry will start a new wave of comedic duels at the beginning of July on HBO Max [11] [29]. What do I think of the overall concept? I can definitely say that it is highly promising and as previously mentioned, far more original. I do not doubt that many of us would still prefer the special shorts for specific reasons and that is completely understandable [22] [30]. Speaking of the special shorts, I suppose there can be a second season in about 2022, just like how there will be a second season of Looney Tunes Cartoons also on HBO Max later this July [10]. What else can I say about continuations? Well, after watching the trailer for the revival of Johnny Test that will be available for Netflix soon, all I can say is that at least the animation looks a little better and there are no irritating whipcracks being heard [18]. I will say that some shows deserve a continuation for a new generation whilst some do not [1] [10] [11] [16]. Will Tom and Jerry in New York be a decent successor to The Tom and Jerry Show or will it stink like cheese? Watch out for the mousetraps on the way out!

And one more thing, please respect other fans’ opinions. Please do not assume that someone’s favourite interpretation of an iconic cartoon is “garbage” solely because of their age [20]. Leave the cartoon violence to the kitty and the mousey. [11]

The Quality Of Life In My Little Pony: Pony Life

Whether My Little Pony: Pony Life is all in Pinkie Pie’s point of view or not [50] [51], I still appreciate it for its redeeming qualities and being filler between the fourth and fifth generations of the My Little Pony franchise in 2020 [50] [51] [52] [53]. Even though it is more focused on quick-paced comedy and consists of a slice of life genre [29], I can tell that the series is focused on the value of friendship as there is a compilation in association with celebrating International Friendship Day on Hasbro’s official My Little Pony YouTube channel [21]. I am hoping that the series will soon air in the United Kingdom and Ireland since I reside in England and the production of the series involved co-operation with Boulder Media, an Irish company [4]. Even though there have been no signs of the series officially airing in either of those nations yet [29], I can always check out the compilations on the official My Little Pony YouTube channel for analysing its slice of life vibes. There is always another way, according to Finding Dory [7]. For the fourth time, I shall express my critical thoughts on the newest animated interpretation of pony life, which is My Little Pony: Pony Life [48] [49].

PONY LIIIIIIIIIFE [21] [26]! [30]

Firstly, let us reflect on what the portrayal of Potion Nova, one of the newest ponies in Ponyville has to offer [25]. I quite like the premise of Twilight Sparkle trying to learn how to make potions, but failing every single attempt as it is an interesting new take on her development in Pony Life, especially when it comes to her alliance with Potion Nova and her determination to be intellectually impressive [22]. Moreover, it is pretty assuming how Nova poses as a therapist after the montage. More importantly, I adore how she advises Twilight to take it easy during the progress of creating potions. This briefly reminds me of how a well-known cartoon reviewer named Josh Strider, also known as “PhantomStrider” online advised his audience to maintain mindfulness, especially through deep breathing [40] [41]. As much as I understand how Twilight Sparkle tried to seem masterful to Potion Nova, it delights me to know that the newest unicorn in Equestria can at least provide helpful advice to reassure her [22]. I believe that Potion Nova is now my new favourite pony, not just because she is a Pony Life and Potion Ponies exclusive character [13].

I also love how potentially symbolic the method of putting emotion into a potion is as Potion Nova demonstrates it in association with teaching young children the importance of taking it steadily when it comes to new tasks. [22]

There is one pony who originated from Friendship Is Magic and has returned in Pony Life. Once again voiced by Kathleen Barr [3], the Great and Powerful Trixie Lulamoon is portrayed as someone who sincerely tries to understand the meaning of friendship aside from her determination to be “the best” [20] [31]. Even though she eventually learned the basics of being a true friend in a montage and referred herself as “Trixie the Powerfully Grateful” after learning that friendship is not a competition, the friendship bracelet she makes suddenly becomes big enough to capture the Mane Six altogether [20], which is a sign of her antagonistic side from Friendship Is Magic taking the lead [12]. When it comes to providing some value underneath fast-paced action and humour, I like how Pony Life still captivates the theme of maintaining true friendships and developing outstanding social skills, along with how it manages to make the portrayal of another pony from Friendship Is Magic familiar yet fresh [20]. Furthermore, I would be curious to see if at least how one more character from Friendship Is Magic is portrayed in Pony Life before the preparations for Generation Five.

Including Trixie in the show is legitimate because there is a toy based on her in the Potion Ponies toy line from Hasbro [16]. I think another character from the Friendship Is Magic era should only appear in Pony Life if the Pony Life brand consists of a toy based on her to make her appearance a little more valid [33] [43]. [20]

What about any further development of the Mane Six besides Twilight Sparkle’s alliance with Potion Nova [22] [25]? I am terribly sorry, but I really do not like Fluttershy’s bossiness and greediness in the premise of her friends selling cookies as a business as it is more concerning and out-of-character than Twilight Sparkle’s competitiveness towards Rainbow Dash and how Princess Celestia is more like a food critic than a fair ruler [27] [50] [51] [52] [53]. Since when did she become a copy of the Bloo who was a dangerously selfish and greedy company manager from “Cookie Dough”, an episode of the second season of Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends [10]? Nevertheless, she eventually stops and learns that a strong desire to meet her idol, Finn Tastic has overshadowed her virtue of kindness [28], which motivates me into giving her off-putting portrayal a spoonful of slack [27]. Throughout the airing of Pony Life, there have been moments of character development that are either out-of-character or a trait that is taken too far [50] [51] [52] [53], which is what I believe many purists of the first three seasons of Friendship Is Magic will not take too kindly to [17] [44].

Fluttershy’s out-of-character behaviour reminds me of how some fans of Ed, Edd n Eddy found Double D’s attitude towards Eddy in the episode about a cursed telephone out-of-character [6] [11] [45]. I strongly prefer her stare from the first season of Friendship Is Magic as it at least provided some heroism against those who are up to no good [19]. Remind me not to bake oatmeal cookies with raisins. [27]

Despite my disapproval of Fluttershy’s exclusive selfish side, are there any more witty moments to talk about? The moment Rainbow Dash drank a potion that motivated her into referencing Sonic the Hedgehog was priceless [24], yet brought back memories of discovering her being shipped with him [39]. I also find it very hilarious how Twilight and her friends tried to capture the one responsible for the delivery of the potions but failed every attempt [23] [25]. It was also funny when four of the Mane Six expressed epic jaw drops as Potion Nova began her majestic entrance, but then she suddenly tripped over one of the rainbows [25]. I think Rarity’s reaction to losing a pair of sunglasses...again sums up our reactions to losing something quite valuable. As for the cuteness contest between Fluttershy and Bubbles that occurs when the pink-maned pegasus has enough [20], karma is a Queen Chrysalis for the sassy jerk of a feline as he eventually gets the Team Rocket treatment for his meanness [9] [8]. Again, providing well-written humour is essential for trying to make the spin-off of the iconic cartoon from the 2010s faithful and trustworthy for our fellow bronies and pegasisters [42].

I wonder if Dashie’s reference to Sonic the Hedgehog is a shout-out to SonDash shippers [39]. [24]

Oh. And let us not forget how Applejack is still our fourth wall breaker! [20]

I would also like to discuss more discoveries in the Pony Life version of Equestria aside from zany results from consuming potions [24]. It turns out that there is a legendary creature named “Bighoof” [27], which is obviously a parody of Bigfoot [46], quite similar to Big Food from one episode of Chowder [5]. The sight of the potion ocean is absolutely beautiful [22]! I adore how it consists of the colours of the rainbow and I love to splash around in it if I were a pony. Despite that, there is also a strange depth of the ocean that consists of various lost objects [26], which expands the setting’s creativity to a degree. Oh my Celestia! Twilight Sparkle and Applejack get trapped in a potion bottle and witness the title of a Prince song at some point [22] [37]! Despite how I find the lack of colouring and wonky proportions for some aspects of the backgrounds flawed [48] [49], I appreciate how several fantasy elements have been established outside of Ponyville to give Pony Life some of the fantasy vibes that Friendship Is Magic has during its nine-year run to show more than smart devices just to appeal to today’s youth [18].

I am absolutely starstrucked by the beautiful rainbow ocean! I would need to avoid getting lost in the depth of lost items though [26]. [22]

Purple rain! Purple rain [37]! [22]

I am sorry once again, but I must lightly but firmly put my hoof down after seeing more depth of Rainbow Dash feeling unwell at Sugarcube Corner [23]. Twilight Sparkle is seen wearing a face mask as Dashie leaves the bakery, which is just too familiar in a terrible start of a new decade. Seriously, there are tons of reports about people losing their lives to coronavirus and mental health problems caused by lockdowns on the news already [1] [2] [38]. Rather than the risk of illness anxiety increasing from witnessing the premise, we need a source of delight to help us reduce that anxiety and think beyond the rest of the difficulties we have had in 2020. Despite my complaint, I have a theory that the script for this episode was written at some point before the pandemic began. Moreover, it might as well be brushed off as a public service announcement for the little ones during such a frightening time of separation and uncertainty. Besides, the premise would be more badly timed and in rather poor taste if it was not for those public service announcements about saving lives during the coronavirus outbreak in Weibo before the show aired [30].

I mostly feel negative towards an episode of Pony Life seemingly referencing the unnerving impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on us all in real life [1] [2] [38]. [23]

And who would have thought Pinkie Pie would be very anxious and show signs of being a workaholic when she becomes ill and has to rest? [23]

Despite some aspects that I believe are rather flawed, I still stand by how I believe the spin-off of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is mostly faithful adaption based on Hasbro’s Pony Life toy line. Speaking of toy lines from Hasbro, since there is a new line of Littlest Pet Shop within its sixth generation known as the “Keep Me Pack” [15] [34] [35] [36], I believe there can be a release a special edition of a pet from the second generation from Hasbro or the vintage era from Kenner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Littlest Pet Shop franchise at some point in 2022 [53]. It worked for the original Polly Pocket for her 30th anniversary last year, right [47]? As for the My Little Pony franchise, there is still plenty of time to hope for a remarkable outcome of the fifth generation at some point later in the 2020s. Many of us may still be complaining about how awful the year 2020 is as a horrible start of a new decade [32], but there are still new things for us to try and tune into, including a decent re-imagining of a cartoon we loved years before the pandemic and other distressing conflict began [1] [2] [38].

I believe that a special 30th anniversary edition of a Littlest Pet Shop figurine from the mid-2000s or early 2010s can potentially do the LPSTube community a huge favour in 2022 [54]. [14]

Anyway, I hope this fourth review of a mostly cool spin-off of an ironically cool cartoon from the 2010s was cool. If you thought it was cool, cool [50] [51]! [27]

A New Era Of Looney Tunes In A New Decade

Eh, what’s up, readers [20]? I tawt I taw the official trailer for a brand new Looney Toons [41]…oops! I mean Looney Tunes cartoon! I did! I did taw the trailer for it [44]! From the 1930s to the 1960s, the original Looney Tunes cartoons won the hearts of many with its slapstick, witty humour and memorable cast of characters [24]. Throughout the years, we have witnessed other reboots and spin-offs of Looney Tunes, including:
  •       The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries (1995 – 2002) [29] [46]
  •       Baby Looney Tunes (2002 - 2005) [4] [18]
  •       Duck Dodgers (2003 – 2005) [6] [21]
  •       Loonatics Unleashed (2005 - 2007) [23]
  •       The Looney Tunes Show (2011 - 2014) [28]
  •       Wabbit, later titled “New Looney Tunes” (2015 - 2019) [7] [8] [15] [26]
After a lot of positive, negative and mixed reception of these re-establishments and such, we are about to be infatuated with a brand new series that will stream on HBO Max in May 2020 [25] [44] [49]. The title of a whole new establishment of the witty wonders from Warner Bros. is simply “Looney Tunes Cartoons”. Surely it is a bit too generic, but at least I can see some great qualities the trailer has to offer so far, even though my boyfriend would probably tease me with the Big Chungus meme [17] [45].
Another establishment of Looney Tunes? Reboot seeing opens in May. [44]
My dearest boyfriend, if you are reading this, do not even think about it. [45]
The first public sign of a reboot of the franchise happening was an animated short titled “Looney Tunes Cartoons: Dynamite Dance” [43]. It was uploaded onto YouTube back in Summer 2019 and when I watched it, my mind was like “Suffering succotash!” because of how outstanding it is [20]. I still officially declare the short to be an outstanding masterpiece. I adore how each moment of Bugs Bunny’s usual flee from Elmer Fudd are very well-timed with the melody of the classical music as it enlightens the overall humour, including some slapstick with sticks of dynamite and TNT that captures the essence of slapstick humour from the old Looney Tunes cartoons [24]. There is no voice acting heard from the wabbit and the hunter at all, but at least it is no big deal as it enhances the premise of slapstick timed very well in the melody of classical music. My fellow cartoon critics, we have witnessed another reboot done right and it seems like it will be expanded in May 2020. It sure makes up for how plenty of us did not like the sitcom format of The Looney Tunes Show and how Loonatics Unleashed just seemed far too misguided [23] [28].
Look at this gorgeous title card. [43]
Come back here, you pesky wabbit!! [43]
It is a little odd how Bugs is wearing yellow gloves instead of his usual white ones [43] [44]. Looney Tunes Cartoons is not the first time he wore yellow gloves [39]. The same feature applies to Porky Pig, but at least he did not swear like he did one time back in 1938 [14]. As for the arrogant yet quirky Daffy Duck, I can see how his beak and legs are a deeper shade of orange. However, it is best not to judge an iconic character’s portrayal solely for a notable visual alternation. We also see the timeless moment of Wile E. Coyote chasing Road Runner and they do not seem to have any striking colour changes at all. But more importantly, their chase scene is a sign of reliable writing when it comes to avoiding making a reboot misguided. I think it is preferable to make the characters revert back to their more recognisable designs as some of the redesigns in New Looney Tunes might have been a little uncanny to some Looney Tunes fans with a few exaggerated features [7] [8] [26] [48]. Aside from that, I am glad that the characters still have their iconic designs in a slightly different art style.
I do not mind Bugs Bunny having yellow gloves since I strongly believe that character development is far more important. [44]
Remember the designs of the characters in New Looney Tunes [7] [8] [42]? Some of them were…less desirable. [26]
It seems like Pepe Le Pew ought to return in Looney Tunes Cartoons as well. He may be a hopeless romantic, but as someone who takes sexual harassment seriously and retired from DeviantArt for that particular reason, I can see why the more modern adaptions of Looney Tunes have not featured him giving Penelope Pussycat a hard time by not taking rejections from her for an answer [34] [47]. I suggest that the classic premise of him lustfully chasing a cat who he mistakes for another skunk can avoid being very controversial in today’s standards by making Penelope’s personality more fearless and cleverly cunning when it comes to avoiding him. An example of this can be temporarily flirting with him, then giving him some comical pwnage for harassing her. This would be similar to Minerva Mink’s attitude towards dudes she does not fancy very much in Animaniacs [5] [33]. Karma is a Witch Hazel, huh? Even though we are all familiar with the usual premises of each star, I can understand that standards and understandings will change over time and there can be added loopholes to make premises less uncomfortable for audiences with more cautious perspectives today.
Yeah. Le Pew’s prime premise has not aged very well [34]. Catchy song during the run of The Looney Tunes Show though. [47]
As unbearable Le Pew’s scent is, Penelope Pussycat ought to be devious and able to troll him when it comes to fighting back against unwanted romance. Upgrading her personality like that to Minerva Mink’s seduction ought to make the premise quite appealing to feminist viewers [5] [33]. [3]
Aside from Marvin the Martian who appears to be challenged by something unusual about a planet he tries to claim in the name of Mars [44], other memorable characters who could be returning in Looney Tunes Cartoons are:

·        Foghorn Leghorn [25] [49]
·        Petunia Pig [25] [49]
·        Taz [25] [49]
·        Cecil Turtle [25] [49]
·        Granny [25] [49]
·        Beaky Buzzard [25] [49]
·        Sam Sheepdog [25] [49]

Wait a minute! If Sam Sheepdog is returning, then that must mean Ralph Wolf, Wile E. Coyote cousin's is returning too [16] [27] [30]! Do not forget that Ralph has a red nose and white eyes while Wile E. has a black nose and yellow eyes. Surely the portrayal of Speedy Gonzales received criticism for stereotyping of Mexicans in about 1999 [24], but I suggest that his Mexican traits can at least be toned down to only a convincing and not too stereotypical state for Looney Tunes Cartoons. I am more than interested to see the portrayal of other Looney Tunes characters who have not appeared in the trailer, including a possible repeat of the best portrayal of Lola Bunny from New Looney Tunes for our fellow ‘90s kids and 2000s kids who loved her back then [4] [15] [18] [32] [37]. With the usual large variety of species with their unique personalities, Looney Tunes Cartoons could be one reliable rehash.
It would be lovely to be his two good friends who act like worst enemies in their jobs again. I have not seen them in a while [16]. [30]
Despite the controversy he caused, I would like this little amigo to return in Looney Tunes Cartoons as I remember watching him in his own Virgin Media advert. [38]
Be vewy, vewy quiet [20]. I’m critiquing the art style and animation now. The art style and animation are exceptionally faithful to the timeless legacy of the original Looney Tunes [2] [3] [13] [39] [42] [44]. How objects and other aspects in the backgrounds lack black outlines help the animated characters stand out splendidly for the viewers to witness their looney antics. As for items that are meant to be used by a character, there will be an outline around them to make them part of each animated antic, which is another sign of the crew in the part department taking the overall art quality quite seriously. I can also see how their palettes are not too saturated and the colours are appropriately selected for a healthy dose of realism in every setting, quite similar to the colour palettes of the background in Flea Circus, a cartoon from 1954 about a flea circus that was directed by no other than Tex Avery [53] [54]. The animation’s quality and flow briefly remind me of the animation of The Tom and Jerry Show, a reboot of Tom and Jerry that consists of a combination of its slapstick comedy and today’s standards when it comes to entertainment for today’s youth [9] [10].
The background that strongly resembles a zoo is an example of how easing the background are in the trailer of Looney Tunes Cartoons. [44]
I can say that the animation in Looney Tunes Cartoons is more fluid and lively than the animation in the webisode “Dating Dos and Don’ts”. [32]
We also see the wascally wabbit himself using a smartphone to summon a lot of adorable miniature versions of him and using a streaming service on a flat-screen television in order for Looney Tunes Cartoons to appeal to young people in today’s society [44], quite similar to how he used a flip phone in a Sprint advert for our fellow 2000s kids back in 2003 [40]. Even though I think that the use of today’s technology works better for characters who have been first established in the 2010s, classic characters using it is ultimately harmless and seems like a mild attempt that appealing to a new audience of millennials without trying too hard to be hip with them. I am not saying that it is beyond criticism though as I believed that the 2015 era of Bratz tried too hard to appeal to young girls of the 2010s with rather tacked on trends, thus causing their popularity to decline [11] [12] [55]. Call me an ignorant millennial or a social justice warrior all you want, but I would rather witness that than witness a rehash of the inconsiderate mockery towards Asian people and black people from the 1940s and 1950s cartoons [2] [13] [39] [42].
“Bring the kids!” – Bugs Bunny, 2020. [44]
Bugs Bunny blending in today’s society as he refrains from repeating his racism era [2]. [44]
Aside from a few differences for audiences at the beginning of the 2020s, let us analyse the humour represented in the trailer [44]. Tickling an opponent’s hand to beat them in an arm wrestle? I guess that is one way to win with wittiness. At some point, Wile E. Coyote gets confronted by a lit stick of dynamite, which is another sign of familiar slapstick enhancing the reboot’s writing. Speaking of slapstick, we also see Sylvester get crushed by a variety of household objects that have been blown out of a vacuum cleaner. Could the remote control Tweety is shown holding be involved? Gossamer sure got in touch with his feminine side when he began strutting his stuff in a pair of high-heeled pumps. It is amusing how Daffy is seen popping up from a puddle of cement posing as different iconic historical figures. I also like how the way Porky Pig had his head and arms through a drum is a reference to his iconic conclusive phrase [24], but I guess I will get to that a little later. I would love to also witness some other fourth-wall breaks as they are my favourite type of humour. Just ask Deadpool [52] [53] [57].
Gossamer is a gorgeous red creature, isn’t he? I know from experience [52] [53] [57]. [44]
“Th-th-th-that’s it!” – Porky Pig, 2020. [44]
Lastly, I would like to express my thoughts on the audio. I can tell that the music is a reference to Giovanni Jones, the opera singer that Bugs had a bone to pick with in “Long-Haired Hare” [36], which is a fitting aspect of trying to make Looney Tunes Cartoons seem like the most legitimate reboot of the original series yet. As for the voice acting, I just love the sound of talent [44]. So far, it sounds like Eric Bauza is doing a fantastic job at voicing Bugs, Daffy, Marvin, and Tweety [25] [49]. I am impressed at how Fred Tatasciore can nail the aggression and Southern-accent in Yosemite Sam’s voice [25] [44] [49]. Bob Bergen once again manages to deliver the stuttering in Porky’s voice excellently as he is fairly experienced in voicing him [19] [25] [49]. Given the opportunity to voice Elmer, Sylvester and Foghorn Leghorn after some previous experience, we can hopefully count on Jeff Bergman as well [22] [25] [49]. It sure is nice to let a writer and storyboard artist voice a character too as Michael Ruocco will apparently do the voice of Beaky Buzzard [25] [49]. Another aspect that will enlighten a reboot is a cast of talented voice actors nailing the recognisable voices of each character.
“I just wove technowogy!” – Tweety, 2020. [44]
Aside from Wile E. Coyote remaining mute as he chases Road Runner, could he speak in a manly and sophisticated voice while confronting Bugs Bunny once again [48]? [44]
In conclusion, Looney Tunes Cartoons seems like one of the things we could need after how we selflessly succumb to self-isolation within lockdowns and send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of those who lost their lives during the devastating coronavirus outbreak [35]. With plenty of faithfulness to what made Looney Tunes popular and iconic since the 1930s, it is sure to appeal to both fans of the original cartoons and a crowd of newer and younger cartoon fans, just as long as any likely adult humour can be sneaky and subtle enough to not undesirably affect the appeal of a new and young audience [3]. Speaking of appealing to both an old and a new audience, there should some loopholes to avoid the scale being unbalanced and negatively affecting the reboot’s appeal since plenty of us are aware of how controversial a fair amount of the original cartoons were [24]. As we maintain strong hopes for a brand new establishment of Looney Tunes in a proactive manner, I suppose every era needs a little bit of Looney Tunes, quite like how each one needs a dose of Dr. Seuss [31] [50] [51]. Th-th-th-that’s all, folks [20]! Meep meep!

Apart from Daffy Duck taking cosplaying to a whole new level with cement, we are wait to see more adventures with the cast of iconic characters from Warner Bros. in May 2020. [44]
Gee, ain’t I a writer? [43]
