Shrek 5 In The Works At DreamWorks. Now What?

My fiancé and I were spellbound by the outcome of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, from the masterful animation that provided action sequences that remind me of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse to the humour that partially proved that animated films are NOT just for kids in this day and age [36] [64] [69]. Shrek 5 was officially announced at the time new trailers for Barbie and Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse were released [1] [22] [40] [63] [70] [73]. I recall discussing how such a concept can excel in the near future of animated movies with you back in January [80] [81]. The idea for a fifth Shrek film may have been scrapped after the release of Shrek Forever After, leading to some fans being like, “Like THAT’S ever gonna happen!” [44] [55] [74], but its re-development that began in 2014 has been a sign of nostalgia being put into proactivity for almost a decade aside from a huge demand for Shrek to become a fighter in the fourth Super Smash Bros. game and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [44], which never happened [68]. Let us expand on our hopes for a quite ironically elevating outcome of Shrek 5 beyond the time I ate green chocolate from a Shrek 2 advent calendar as a child.
Let us simply refer to a fifth Shrek movie in development as “Shrek 5” yet its release title could be something more creative [55] [80] [81]. Speaking of creativity, I enjoyed tweeting a parody of All Star by Smashmouth within a collaboration for the second time [44] [77], despite how Twitter almost caused me to no longer enjoy Vivienne Medrano’s Hellaverse [4] [12] [23]. [57]

Shrek is the cynical ogre who proved that ogres CAN live happily ever after [44] [45], but that might not always be the case if there could be other signs of prejudice against his race out there in Shrek 5, despite his popularity shown in Shrek The Third and the beginning of Shrek Forever After [46] [47]. As previously mentioned, he could reflect on how his parents raised him, especially during a flashback scene of his childhood [80] [81], along with how his love for Fiona made a big difference in society [46]. What if he were to meet a long-lost younger brother or cousin who could be loosely based on an entirely different interpretation of him from the scrapped version of the first film without disrespecting the legacy of Chris Farley who passed away in 1997 [6] [27] [41] [42]? If so, then the relative could reflect on how toxic his parents were and the widespread prejudice against ogres as well [80] [81]. Some new character progression for the one and only Shrek, such as meeting a long-list relative and reflecting on how his parents raised him as a reference to the book and the musical could make Shrek 5 a little more necessary than it sounds [21] [22] [57].
Dare to challenge Shrek in a freestyle rap battle [32]? He stood out of his own way to undo the alternate reality caused by a big mistake he made in Shrek Forever Ever [46] [47]. A fifth adventure with him could be another tasty grilled green cheese sandwich that is not just for Saint Patrick’s Day [13]. And yes, as previously hinted, food-related marketing for the first two Shrek films was infamous yet fascinatingly bizarre back in the day [61]. Since yesterday was International Asexuality Day [19], I suppose that Shrek could be greysexual or demisexual [3]. [32]
Rumour has it that Donkey will get his own spin-off movie [55]. If so, then there ought to be some further exploration of his ironic yet ultimately wholesome relationship with Dragon that could be set in between Shrek and Shrek 2, possibly along with how he used to be a human during a flashback scene that could possibly be set during his high school years [26] [31] [44] [45] [47]. Could Pinocchio recall such a time as well [30]? Speaking of Shrek 2, what majestic new form could Dragon have been in after Shrek and Donkey took the Happily Ever After potion [45]? A pink pegasus, according to the creators [8]? And what could have caused their relationship to seem on the rocks aside from maternal sass before they resiled [45]? Alternatively, the spin-off film could take place before he met Shrek, much like how the first spin-off film starring Puss In Boots focused on the times before he met our green hero [35]. It is quite sad that Shrek 4D was closed at Universal Studios Florida a year ago [39], but Donkey’s wittiness and positivity can enlighten a new journey in Shrek 5 and Shrek 4D could still be around at Universal Studios Singapore and Universal Studios Japan [54].
What did Donkey study if he ever attended a community college [26]? How well would a spin-off film centred around him do [55]? I bet some of us miss the animatronic of him at Universal Studios Florida [39]. [53]

Surely, Donkey’s significant other could receive some backstory in either Shrek 5 or a spin-off film centred on him. Could she be referred to as “Elizabeth” at some point [49]? And please ensure the return of Eclair, the Dronkey who has been missing since Shrek The Third [45] [46] [47]! [49]

Anything new for Puss In Boots as he makes the most of his last life, mis amigos [36] [69]? As unlikely as this sounds, perhaps the ending of
Shrek 5 could feature him FINALLY marrying Kitty Softpaws to make up for how they BOTH left the altar at some point throughout their relationship as a contrast to Shrek marrying Fiona at the end of the first Shrek film [35] [36] [44]. Perrito, his companion from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish could be his best mammal [36]. But before that, he and Donkey ought to make jabs at each other as usual but ultimately remain noble in perhaps a new moment of character progression. I also believe there can be a moment of him speaking Italian as Antonio Banderas is also fluent in Italian [48] [80] [81] [82] [83]. Perhaps there could also be a call-back to The Adventures of Puss In Boots, the animated series that takes place before his first spin-off film [28] [29] [37]. Even when the focus is back on his boss, Puss can still be our favourite fearless hero, especially after releasing that he did not need to wish for eight extra lives in his second spin-off film [36]. Let us hope that none of his previous eight lives was responsible for the murder of Sonic the Hedgehog [62].
Who is the writer of this new article?
Who is the writer of this new article [36]? [69]
One of the franchise’s plot holes is how Fiona’s parents both have British accents, yet she speaks in an American accent [45] [46] [47]. No offence to Cameron Diaz who played her role amazingly throughout the four Shrek films [44] [45] [46] [47]. Aside from a flashback of Fiona being cursed by a witch as a child [80] [81], she can learn some of her kung-fu skills from Queen Lillian and further develop them, along with her hope for a handsome prince to rescue her during her time in the tower [45] [47]. As for her life as an ogre, she could help further eliminate persecution against ogres alongside her husband - Zootopia style [85], which would be consistent with how she led a tribe of ogres in the alternate universe in Shrek Forever After [46]. However, this new ambition must not be overly preachy as there would need to be some room for humour and the overall structure of a new adventure beyond the swamp. As proud as I am of my homegirl Princess Peach striving through an obstacle course in a new sneak peek of The Super Mario Bros. Movie [65], I would be quite infatuated if the caring and rational former princess of Far Far Away were to have a new goal and some new character development in Shrek 5.
An engaging new goal for Fiona in Shrek 5 could be campaigning alongside the other ogres who appeared in the alternate universe in Shrek Forever After to further prove that ogres, including those who used to be humans, can live happily ever after too [46], much like how young autistic adults like me can prove that they deserve to be happily employed whilst receiving support from employers and colleagues. [57]
It may be a bit too late to reboot the Harry Potter franchise [10] [15] [38], but I believe that a certain aspect of a new adaption of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets ought to further tackle prejudice against wizards who are related to muggles, such as having a professor call Draco out for calling Hermione a “mudblood” [14] [16]. Quite similarly, Fiona can help deal with prejudice against ogres in Shrek 5, leading to an effective new role for some of the other ogres from Shrek Forever After [46], possibly fleshing them out a little more. [56]
Surely, there ought to be some engaging new antagonists in Shrek 5. How come Prince Charming did not notice and acknowledge the absence of Dragon before finding out Fiona had already been rescued at the beginning of Shrek 2 [45]? If Charming was a better person, he would be a good sport, not vow to seek revenge on Shrek in Shrek The Third and go find another princess to marry and another kingdom to rule [47], right? If only he and Rapunzel ruled their own kingdom without resorting to villainy. Since that never happened, a new antagonist for Shrek 5 could be Prince Charming’s father who may have divorced Fairy Godmother at some point yet had another child with her and possibly had the ambition to rule Far Far Away too [7] [80] [81]. Could a sibling of Prince Charming vow to avenge their mother and brother despite a possible divorce? If Shrek and Fiona’s children were to be aged up a little, perhaps Lancelot can return to confront an older and experienced Arthur Pendragon after graduating from Worcestershire Academy [47]. Aside from the possibilities of villainy in Shrek 5, I still wonder if Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming ever found out about Lord Farquaad’s plans to marry Fiona [44] [45].
Goodness me, Lord Farquaad! You dirty rascal [44]! [26]
The Shrek franchise is jam-packed with witty interpretations of storybook characters [44] [45] [46] [47]. I am sure that Shrek 5 could provide some new explorations for them, no matter how minor they seem. Suzie’s, Gingy’s girlfriend who appeared in Shrek The Halls could make an appearance alongside him [75]. Could Grumpy mention being Lord Farquaad’s father as a reference to the musical adaption [51]? How about letting the Headless Horseman play the flute on stage and the Evil Queen run her own spa during the era of Far Far Away being ruled by Arthur Pendragon who could eventually join Shrek on a new quest [47]? The Big Bad Wolf can provide some positive genderfluid representation for today’s society as he was able to transform into a human woman under a full moon in The Pig Who Cried Werewolf [75]. And let us not forget about THE MUFFIN MAN [44]!!! Lastly, why not establish a new version of the fortune teller who was scrapped during the first movie's long, troubled, and complex production as another reference to the book by William Steig [21] [22] [41]? Just like onions and ogres [44], Shrek 5’s outcome could have layers, including one involving some small progressions for the supporting characters.
Would Grumpy also recall his relationship with a princess who could not sleep because of a pea before disowning his son as a call-back to the musical [51] [52]? [51]
What? [53]

Far Far Away Idol was an amusing bonus feature for Shrek 2 on DVD that featured a parody of Simon Cowell [50], but I still recommend reducing the number of pop culture references for the sake of providing more effective forms of creativity and referencing aspects of social media may not fit in a crazy world of fairytales very well [80] [81], even though I would be up for more bizarre parodies of television shows and such [26]. Moreover, I remember the information booth at Duloc parodying itself in Scared Shrekless, which resulted in a little role reversal [60]. But aside from a new dose of wittiness, there still needs to be some depth to show that the film will have layers, just like onions and ogres [44]. As previously mentioned, Shrek and Fiona ought to reflect on the insecurities they developed as children and possibly use them as motives to fight prejudice against ogres and ensure that they can find their happy ever afters just like how they did [44] [46]. The plot of Shrek 5 might not be as deep as not knowing what you have to be grateful for until it suddenly disappears in Shrek Forever After [46], but there is still hope for it not being another Shrek The Third to some brogres [11] [58].
There also could be a new location that would be considered more creative than the boarding school Arthur Pendragon was constantly bullied at in Shrek The Third [47], even if it would be a bizarre interpretation of Wonderland as a reference to characters from Alice In Wonderland from Shrek: The Musical [80] [81], but obviously not as gritty and disturbing as Alice: Madness Returns [30]. [59]

In conclusion, the hopes for a fifth Shrek film are held as high as a flock of Dronkeys flying in the sky [46] [47]. As a result of it being successful in about a lustrum, there might as well be a new tidal wave of Shrek products, including some that could be considered less favourable than others, yet two mistakes that were made to promote Shrek Forever After should not be made again [61]. In the meantime, our Poké players ought to watch out for Friede and Captain Pikachu in a blimp above Paldea in Pokémon Horizons later this month [5] [66]. This Summer, I could swing into the full potential of Spider-Man: Across The Universe with my fiancé and relish in the feminine flair and elegant empowerment I sensed during my childhood if I go and see Barbie as a full-grown woman [63] [72] [73]. Shrek 5 and Toy Story 5 could be two examples of getting the best of both worlds when you merge proactivity with nostalgia [70] [71] [80] [81], even though that may not always work out as some things are better off left in the past [2] [24] [76], but it is at least worth a try under certain circumstances. And yes, The Simpsons is STILL running [67].
Anyone up for a mud bath later [74]? The mud can be melted chocolate or chocolate icing! Try not to end up like Augustus Gloop though [9] [84]! [59]
Defend your swamps like castles and have a Happy Western or Eastern Easter, brogres [20] [25]! I know a certain merc from Marvel will with two baskets full of grenades disguised as chocolate eggs [79]! [43]
