Lightyear – An Outstanding Origin Awaits?

I do not doubt that many of us fans of Pixar’s many masterpieces [10], including Coco and Ratatouille are looking forward to the release of Luca this Summer [4] [11] [13]. Ever since after the remarkable acclaim of Toy Story 4 that was considered to be the sprinkles on the cake that is the Toy Story franchise nine years after Toy Story 3 was considered to be the perfect finale [17] [18], some of us have been wondering how the franchise could possibly continue without a single sign of it becoming stale before our owners return to their bedrooms, leading us to have to slump to the floor and remain lifeless until they leave again. I am highly fascinated at how the near future of the Toy Story franchise appears to be going in a potentially better direction rather than just spewing out a “Toy Story 5” that would seem to be quite unnecessary unless its events took place before the first Toy Story masterpiece for Summer 2022 after the release and marketing of Turning Red next Spring [11]. Should I just give in and not state my thoughts on the concept for a forthcoming spin-off of an iconic franchise? Not today, Zurg [16]!

So, how can the franchise excel even further after the outstanding acclaim of Toy Story 4 [18]? [23]

The teased project from Pixar has officially been titled “Lightyear” as a sign that it will be heavily focused on a specific time in Buzz Lightyear’s life [11]. In a teased image, Buzz seems to be wearing a different suit, especially a completely different helmet as he grins confidently [21]. This is highly similar to how Captain Marvel wore pine green attire as “Vers” in her live-action movie [3]. His face looks more human-like and similar to the design of Mr. Incredible’s face [25] [26], meaning that the premise will NOT be set in a child’s bedroom where toys that come to life reside in. This is a huge sign of the film being set in his origin. You know, before a promotion that gave him the suit we saw on the popular figure based on him [15] [16]. Considering how the new interpretation of Buzz will NOT be an action figure, could there be a brief moment of children around Andy’s age about watch the movie at a cinema way before the events of Toy Story 3, resulting in a “Yo Dawg” moment [5]? As a test pilot, according to the description on the official Pixar website [11], a less experienced Buzz is sure to show some determination to earn the promotion that would lead to the Buzz we knew and loved since 1995 [15].

Buzz will apparently be a test pilot in the forthcoming spin-off [11], leading to some new character development that has not been seen by fans of the Toy Story franchise before. [21]

It appears that the iconic space ranger will have a different voice for his supposed origin [21]. I do not mind the noble space ranger being voiced by Chris Evans instead of Tim Allen, as long as the performance is just as highly engaging. Jim Hanks, the brother of Tom Hanks has voiced Woody outside of the films and he sounds almost as convincing [1] [12]. More importantly, the plot of Lightyear ought to consist of remarkable character development when it comes to portraying him as the way he was before he became an official space ranger. Toy Story 4 has shown some great development on Woody as he has refrained from making the same mistake he made in the first Toy Story film [15] [18]. When he is no longer the favourite toy of Bonnie, he tries to protect him at all costs for her as his creator instead of knocking him out of a window out of jealously. Whether Buzz Lightyear will have a different voice actor or not [21], there will need to be an extraordinary evolution of him since how a character is portrayed is slightly more important than how outstanding the performance of whoever voices the character will be.

Well, at least Buzz will not sound like that miniature version of him from Small Fry in Lightyear [14]. What is more important though is how likeable he will be. [22]

There will be hope that the events of the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command timeline that was established from 2000 to 2001 will still be considered canon, despite how it oddly featured traditional 2D animation compared to the animation in the first film at its sequel [15] [16] [19] [20]. The way to make this possible would be to ether reference or welcome back characters, such as Princess Mira Nova and Booster Sinclair Munchapper in the stunningly advanced 3D animation that many modern Pixar films have been recognisable for [4] [5] [10] [19]. Who knows? They might as well return in brand new outfits just before converting to the attire they wore in the television series in perhaps a new headcanon, especially Mira [2]. Surely Toy Story Treats have been considered non-canon due to how considering them canon would result in inconsistencies [24], but we shall see if Lightyear will or will not contradict anything from Buzz Lightyear of Star Commanded once its official trailer is released. To those who considered themselves fans of the animated special and the television series that were inspired from it back in the early 2000s [19] [20], there will be hope that there will be signs of them not being forgotten like many memories of Riley from Inside Out in the events of Lightyear [5].

A little shout-out to all of the 2000s kids who remember this animated special and the television series set after its events [19] [20]. Could their events still be considered canon or will there be an alternate continuation in Lightyear? [20]

In conclusion, I would be more than interested to see Buzz Lightyear’s origin within a spin-off of such an iconic animated saga [11] [21]. We can tell that the franchise has come a long way since the test footage that featured Woody and Buzz in their earlier interpretations that never made it to the final result of the first film [7]. I am still up for a Toy Story 5 someday, just as long as its events will tell the story of how Woody became Andy’s favourite toy before the arrival of Buzz [15]. Sometimes it is wiser to establish a prequel to answer unanswered questions than make a continuation that would be considered unnecessary. It worked for Monsters University [8] [9], right? I am sure that there might be any signs of some toys that are based on what is seen in Buzz’s origin being bought in Andy’s local area in perhaps the beginning or conclusion of the forthcoming spin-off to honour the prime premise of the main Toy Story saga [15] [16] [17] [18]. For now, the wonderfully talented and hardworking people at Pixar Animation Studios ought to not let the prospector out of the box until July 2022 [11] [21]. Can Mr. Lightyear still fly…or fall with style [15]?

To infinity…and beyond! [21]

A Hell Of A Teaser Trailer For New Episodes of Helluva Boss

Disclaimer:

This is an analysis of a trailer for an animated series that contains content aimed at mature audiences, including:

  •          One moment of strong cartoon violence involving blood
  •          Mildly disturbing imagery
  •          Sexual references
  •          Strong profanity

Reader discretion is advised.

Welcome to 2021, Hazbeans! We may finally be free from the uncertainties and devastation of 2020 [6] [32] [33], but a new teaser for more episodes of the first season of Helluva Boss means expanded damnation to the horrific nature of Imp City later in this brand new year [17]. As a fan of the cartoon, I have enjoyed reviewing the first two episodes to the point where it can be considered a sin, despite how the expanded developments of Moxxie and Stolas have been praised [24] [25] [26] [27]. I am currently digging a new fanmade song by Shawn Christmas called “Second Nature” that consists of sinister lyrics seemingly written in Blitzo’s perspective [7]. Aside from that, the way we shall cautiously analyse the new trailer for the rest of the first season that was uploaded on Vivienne Medrano’s YouTube channel on New Year’s Eve is pretty much how I analysed the trailer for the pilot back in late 2019 all over again [30] [31]. Nonetheless, we shall keep an eye out for new and interesting aspects that will occur in the upcoming episodes [17]. What a load of treats within some tricks up SpindleHorse’s sleeves they ought to be!

Definitely not my kind of advertising, but at least it still adds to the humourous aspects of Blitzo’s character [16]. [17]

I have a feeling that the poorly spelt words that advertise the trailer are in the boss’ perspective [17] [26] [27]. Nevertheless, the way he caused a huge spurt of blood at the start of the trailer sure is brutal. I quite like how he looks in the outfit he wears as he holds a pistol that could be seen during perhaps the times of how Hell was like in the Wild West. There are other signs of him still following his passions in running his business, such as putting up a poster with crudely drawn artwork. How he is seen being throw into a dumpster and then climbing out of it while the recycled line from Robo Fizz that asks if anyone has ever loved them could be a sign of an episode establishing a much more empathetic side of him and providing a way of how he often felt alienated in Imp City [14]. But then again, the movement of him driving a van speedily is a sign that he will still be a very reckless leader [17]. It would be highly exceptional if an episode can provide a moment of Blitzo becoming a more empathetic character outside of his reckless business decisions and lack of respect for the imps who work with him [16].

Blitzo’s new outfit could be a sign that one of his team’s new missions will take place in Texas. Even though his terrible spelling is laughable, he still looks fierce when it comes to following his passions for slaughtering sinners on Earth for his clients. [17]

I would not be surprised of Blitzo admits being quite a brony considering how there are ponies drawn on the poster [2]. [17]

What can I say about Stolas Goetia after witnessing the events of “Loo Loo Land” [14] [24] [25]? Well, he can be seen peeping from a duvet and being intimate with Blitzo in one moment in the trailer, already bringing on fangasms for those who ship them together [16], despite how one-sided their relationship is [15] [16]. Reflecting on what was established in “Loo Loo Land”, it could be applied that his marriage to Stella is loveless because of how it was arranged as part of his royal duties [14], which is highly similar to how Princess Merida from Brave and Princess Anneliese from Barbie as the Princess And The Pauper were set to be married because of their royal titles and for wealth and honour rather than sincere love and affection [1] [4]. I know we can tell by how he is also seen looking gloomy whilst having some cereal for breakfast in another moment in the new trailer [17]. I am rather curious at what will occur as he paces near two cages wearing new attire in what appears to be a club named “Ozzie’s”. Can the royal owl still try to be a good father to Octavia outside of his adultery and perverted nature towards a hell of a boss [14] [24] [25] [26] [27]? Where can I find his ASMR channel?

The lanky prince who has a seductive voice looks sophisticatedly alluring with a black cape. [17]

Although his kitchen is beautifully designed [14], the glitter is not gold as we are yet to find out what is causing Stolas to look down during breakfast time. It seems like it will have something to do with his loveless marriage [14] [24] [25]. [17]

There will also be hope that Moxxie and Millie will still be one of the most functional couples in Imp City [18]. There is a moment of them French snogging during a passionate kiss in their regular attire in the trailer. Bow chika bow wow! Talk about taking Tarzan and Jane to a steamy new level [22]. Romance aside, they were also seen in action separately at the beginning of the trailer. Moxxie is also seen showing another sign of his musical abilities at Ozzie’s as a sign of a new song being featured in a forthcoming episode [16] [18]...only to be confronted by possibly a new antagonist who seems to be working with Fizzarolli from Loo Loo Land [14]. In another scene, he is seen in a different outfit that resembles something a man in the Wild West would wear. There may still be moments of Millie keeping an eye on her husband’s mental health as she is heard warning him to not panic, which adds to how he must have been diagnosed with anxiety [15] [16] [23]. It is adorable how the imps in unholy matrimony even acknowledge their relationship on Instagram [3] [20]…or Voxtagram in the depths of Hell [11], but can the flames of their love for one another still flicker?

Looks like Millie will go Cherri Bomb on a target [12] [28] [29]! [17]

“MOTHERFU-” – Moxxie, New Year’s Eve 2020. [17]

Apart from how Moxxie and Blitzo appear to still have a rough companionship within the business [15] [16], Loona appears to either have a new phone or a new cover for her usually red one as she is seen wearing quite a different outfit [17]. Let us be sure to shut the f**k up when she aggressively commands us to, even though that line is recycled from “Loo Loo Land” [14]. There has been some speculation that a new song by Silva Hound called “Root of All Evil” in perhaps a new music video outside of the season due to the massive success of the music video for “Addict” that has beaten the record that Medrano’s music video for Die Young by Kesha held [12] [13] [19]. As unlikely that might be, I would still be up for seeing that at some point in this brand new year as that would lead to an opportunity to see a huge step up in Loona’s overall character development, highly similar to how the plot of the music video for “Addict” made Angel Dust more sympathetic and lead to us hoping that he can be redeemed at some point in the television series that takes place after the pilot of Hazbin Hotel [12] [28] [29].

Loona looks great in a new outfit as she is either filming on her smartphone or taking a selfie with it. It would make so much sense for an animated music video for “Root of All Evil” by Silva Hound that features the vocal performances of Erica Lindbeck and The Stupendium will star her and Blitzo since the song’s lyrics seem to be in their perspectives [7] [16]. Hell, Erica Lindback is still Loona’s voice actress [14] [15] [16]. [17]

Could the Immediate Murder Professionals make the most of a new assignment like they are humans who are gonna die young? [13]

Any brand new characters? Well, there seems to finally be an appearance of what Heaven will look like in the continuity of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss [17]. The designs of the angels known as “Cherubs” in a specific environment full of clouds are adorable and seem to expand on the artistic abilities within the series [9]. One of the angels is named Collin [10]. The mysterious woman whose appearance reminds me of Cherri Bomb to some degree seems to be a singer as she is seen on stage [12] [17].  Could she be the person who is in a brawl with Blitzo at some point in a forthcoming episode in another outfit? About the hellhound who looks like a masculine version of Loona, could he be related to her? With new characters besides Stella and Mrs. Mayberry being introduced in any of the other six episodes [14] [15], more opportunities to develop coherent plots apart from providing thrilling portions of adult humour seem to have awaited the team during the rest of the season’s development after the success of the pilot and the first two episodes [14] [15] [16] [17].

Rumour has it that the goal within the team of Cherubs is the polar opposite of the prime goal of I.M.P [8] [9]. [17]

I wonder what genre of music this mysterious starlet will sing a song in. Could it be modern pop? By the sound of a sample of her dialogue, it would definitely be about making questionable decisions and not regretting them. [17]

Apart from how sugar-coated the very short preview of Heaven appears to be, one sign of suspense in one of the upcoming episodes is Blitzo looking down at a gun as he appears to be distressed in a red filter and him being tied to a chair with Moxxie [17]. Another threat shown in the trailer is a humongous being with a fleshy tentacle swiftly coiling Moxxie after riding from the ocean, leading to us questioning how Millie can rescue him. I wonder why he appears to be…less worked up by the look of his relaxed facial expressions as he and Millie encounter the being. Is it some method like being drugged? There is also a sinister-looking eye of a foe that resembles a cat’s eye and consists of a pupil that glows red and becomes narrower as a sign of being ready to fight. Just in like “Murder Family” [15], there will need to be at least some forms of suspense, along with blood and gore to help the series maintain the violent and fearsome part of the series’ overall adults-only charm and balance it with profanity and witty sexual humour. After all, the series is set in Hell [16].

As a possible relative to Loona, this canine could lead to some moderate peril too. It seems like you would not want to mess with him! [17]

Viewer discretion ought to still be advised in preparation for some goregasms. [17]

The new trailer that features samples of what will occur in the next six episodes set in no particular order is admittedly fast-paced [17], but at least fascinates us with new vibrant and detailed locations in Imp City and on Earth, a sneak peek of an interpretation of Heaven and signs of new characters who are ready to either strut or strike. With such frantic animation all over these detailed places, it is no wonder each episode seems to take a few months to complete [14] [15]. Who knows what the second season will bring from the flaming pits of the Vivziepop circle of Hell after the first season is complete? I am still up for a few more language dubs of the pilot and perhaps an official crossover between the series and Hazbin Hotel [24] [25]. Since I have been reminded that I will be okay in the new year [21], I shall continue to follow my passion for writing as my fellow Hazbeans wait for more episodes of Helluva Boss, especially when I am not getting tingles from Spider-Man drumming his fingertips on a pink plastic bucket [5]. Stay sinful, fellow sinners and murder professionals!

2020 is finally over. Good riddance! Bring on some positivity for 2021! [17]
