The Second Season Of Helluva Boss – Back In Business?

Hola, fellow Hazbeans! The official Latin American Spanish dub of “That’s Entertainment”, the pilot of Hazbin Hotel rose from the depths back in September, which is fitting because Vaggie can speak Spanish [28] [40]. I have had a hell of a blast with the first season of Helluva Boss from late 2020 to late 2021 [87] [90] [107] [109]. After the outstanding reception of the sixth episode, I was even more amazed at the first part of the season finale. During the wait for the season part of the first season’s conclusion, there has been a lot of hope for the second season to provide new elements, such as new and deeper character development and a new range of engaging premises. I have gained some hopes for it since its confirmation back in November. Firstly, the progress of the trailer was posted on Vivienne Medrano’s Patreon, but I refrained from searching for any unauthorised leaks on Twitter to show her and her hard-working crew some well-earned respect [24]. That was until a fellow Hazbean of mine linked me to the trailer on her YouTube channel, which was indeed completely authorised [54]. It may not be fully animated, but please take in mind that the animation must not be cheap and it will take a reasonable amount of time.

The first part of the Season One finale of Helluva Boss bewitched me as it marked the series’ first anniversary by airing on Halloween, just like when the first episode aired on Halloween last year [57] [58]. Ozzie’s seemed like the place for going on a date with a more human-like incarnation of Bendy from Bendy and the Ink Machine [34] [37] [65] [66]. [58]

Anyway, I ironically do not mind the teaser trailer for Season Two shown as mostly storyboards as the animators must have wanted to save time to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. Hopefully, there will be some more merchandise sales to keep the budget in check [51] [52]. [54]

Despite the pilot not being considered canon to the first season for various reasons, such as Stella consisting of her older design and different voices for Stolas and Millie [33] [39], I believe that there ought to be some more depth of Blitzo’s old passion for performing in showbiz, which was unfortunately lost due to his father’s lack of support [59]. I would empathise with that as I lost my passion for voice acting at some point back in early 2020 [100] [101]. But as for what has been shown in the trailer for what is to be seen in 2022, he is shown in a scene as possibly part of a follow up of the events of “Ozzie’s” [37] [50] [54] [58]. According to the dialogue, maybe he could be learning to allow Loona to find some development outside of the business and his family life. There is quite a lot to learn more about his personal growth after the ending of “Ozzie’s”. Speaking of that episode, there is some speculation that some of the footage of work in progress is for the second part of the first season’s finale [32]. I am rooting for one quirky hell of a boss to show that he is more than just an antiheroic businessman who spells terribly [11] [12].

Unfortunately, this scene is the only one that is fully coloured and animated. Maybe there will be an updated and fully animated version of the trailer after New Year’s Day if Medrano is up for that. More of why I think some scenes are part of Season One’s yet-to-be-completed finale will be explained later on. [54]

Let us look into the storyboards of what is yet to be fully animated before discussing Loona’s new perspective for a future episode [50] [54]. For some reason, Blitzo is looking in a daze as he dances with Fizzarolli. What could be the reason for him seeming out of character? The pink smoke hurled at him could be the source of it, drugging him up into the act. Looks like he is still taking his entries to the human world more seriously as he is seen wearing a wig whilst in a brawl with a pack of humans in some animation progress. There is even a sample of what he looked like as a child with another imp who could be one of his relatives, which could be a big expansion on his backstory aside from old photographs on his hellphone before shedding tears at the end of “Ozzie’s” [27] [58]. Aside from what has been shown in the fully animated segment [50] [54], I do not doubt that one hell of a boss will still shed blood and spout sex references as he is pretty much Deadpool’s brother from another mother [22] [23]. But still, there can be a little more backstory, such as events during his childhood and why he dropped out of college [27] [61].

This right here is an example of how the animation can remain wildly expressive in the second season. Quite meme-worthy, isn’t it? [54]

Loona looks amazing in her new outfit shown in the fully animated sneak peek in the trailer [50] [54]. It is a strapless red dress that reminds me of Bella Goth in The Sims 2 and The Sims 4 [25] [26]. We also see her drinking some coffee in her human form in a storyboard, also meaning that there will be some more havoc in the human world [50] [54]. There really has not been much interaction between her and Moxxie throughout the first season. Although the Voxtagram account stories are no longer canon [41], I can safely say that he would still angrily call her out for slacking and not taking her job seriously [62] [63] [64]. Nevertheless, I am up for the gothic hellhound showing more of her nobility that is often buried beneath highly notable sass, just like how she did in “Truth Seekers” [61] [109]. After all, it could leave an impact on Moxxie, allowing him to see it and be less confronting towards her, compared to the events of the pilot [59]. As for the animated segment in full colour, Loona appears to be much softer as she tries to convince Blitzo to let her stay at a party for a little longer [50] [54], which would lead to some impressive further character development.

This scene is highly likely to be in the upcoming second part of the Season One finale as there was a party mentioned in a note written by Loona at the end of the first part [37] [58]. [54]

There is a new male hellhound character by the van who must be one of the guests of Vortex’s party mentioned at the end of “Ozzie’s” [37] [58]. Could Vortex eventually be smitten with Loona? [54]

Aside from some possible growth in the bond between the Blizster and his Loonie, what could be there for the hellishly married couple? There appears to be a new character who will be a new ally for Moxxie, assisting him in stealing from a place that could be in either the human world or one of the rings of Hell [50] [54]. Just look at the tints of red that indicate the alarms going off at some point! Team M and M are also seen battling a familiar fellow within a seemingly intense rematch. Let us hope Millie will not end up getting injured again, even though there is always a big risk, considering the intense amount of cartoon violence in the series [60] [61] [107] [109]. Moxxie deserves better than simply being a target for slapstick and other forms of mean-spiritedness throughout most of the first season because of how sweet he is to his queen, but can they refrain from being stranded on the rocks in the second season? I am hoping that will not be the case since Moxxie is my second favourite character of the series and he always deserves Millie’s affection in return.

Wait a minute! Does this moment here mean that Moxxie’s father is still alive? I guess my theory of him having PTSD due to his parents apparently being murdered could be debunked if his father would make a physical debut [104] [105]. [54]

Millie here demonstrates my reaction whether there is a new Helluva Boss episode. Tell me I am going to Hell all you want [109]. I just love the show so much. [58]

Without the depth Stolas’ character received outside of what was shown in the pilot throughout the first season [56] [58] [90], he would not have become my favourite character of the series. A storyboard of him sitting alone, along with another intimate moment he has with the Blitzster could be a sign of him not perishing any time soon [50] [54], much to my delight. Well, at least I hope so. I am sure as hell Lyle Lipton and Loopty Goopty will not build a cloning machine…unless it turns out that the real deal will die in the second part of the Season One finale and the two reunited geniuses will build a clone in Season Two [92]! Weird conspiracies aside [83], I am still hopeful to see a deeper connection between the goetia prince and his Blitzy after the events of “Ozzie’s” [37] [58]. If he turns out to be alive and well, I think he ought to give his Blitzy a new kitty sock puppet that is as cute as Hello Kitty and Pusheen the Cat [73] [74] [75] [76]. Or better yet, he can comfort him after he wakes up from a nightmare [84]. I adore how handsome Stolas looked in his formalwear in “Ozzie’s” and I would love to see him in some new stylish outfits in the next season [58].

So, the sexy birdie under an imp’s special power sheds feathers after having sex [59]. Well, you know that episode of Baby Looney Tunes when Granny mentions the Feather Fairy, the feather-gathering counterpart of the Tooth Fairy [6]? Well, I think the only trinket Stolas will receive from the Feather Fairy is a note saying, “For crying out f**king loud! Stop sh**ging that bloody imp!”. [54]

Nonetheless, I really want this amazing owl daddy to be okay after his latest post on Voxtagram…or Sinstagram [58]. I know the accounts are not considered canon [41], but some of the newer posts are accurate to the events of the first season of Helluva Boss. Stolas at least has a heart, not just because his face is shaped like one [47] [57] [72] [92]. I just hope he will survive what is apparently a moment in a hospital at the end of the trailer [54]. [21]

There ought to be more about the Ars Goetia family than what Stolas got publicly exposed for in “Ozzie’s” [37] [58]. Can you imagine a new episode titled “Stelluva Boss” [93]? There is a brief moment of Stella yelling at her adulterous husband for his infidelity, which could be part of the forthcoming eighth and final episode of the first season [50] [54] [58], meaning that there will still be some debate on who is to blame for their marriage becoming rocky. Not that I would argue about that constantly as I sincerely do not want the Helluva Boss fandom suddenly becoming toxic to me and many other Hazbeans [90] [104] [105] [109]. Octavia is also seen tearing a map in half at what could be the high school or sixth form college she attends, considering she is only seventeen years old [50] [54]. Wearing a crown, a new bird-like demon seems to be another member of Stolas’ family as a quirky cartoon interpretation of another ruler of the Ars Goetia who briefly resembles a bird [67]. A new season means some new characters, right? Again, I do NOT want Stolas to die in the second part of the Season One finale, whether he is to blame or not [56] [58] [60] [104] [105].

Perhaps a second marriage to another prince after a thankful divorce from Stolas would gradually make Stella as cheery and grateful as Princess Liana Rose [78] [79] [80], which would make the Hazbeans on her side as happy as hell. [54]

The feeling is mutual, Via. Hopefully, a scenario of you at high school will not be too predictable and clichéd. And folks, for the sake of my fifteen-year-old self, please understand that teenaged girls are NOT plot devices as if all they are good for is boosting ratings. I am sure a teenaged character can have something more to offer than just arguments with parents and stereotyping [90]. [54]

Where and when will certain villains return to strike back? It looks like Striker will return in association with fulfilling a promise to assassinate Stolas [60], showing some new abilities and fighting the I.M.P. once again [50] [54]. The electronic sign displaying “Mammon” must lead to the eventual debut of Mammon, the possible ruler of the Greed Ring and presumably Fizzarolli’s boss [36]. Ever since the acclaim of the seventh episode of the first season [58], many Hazbeans have been shipping the jester with Asmodeus, also known as “Ozzie” so hard. I guess there is no further explanation shown in the trailer for the second season, considering another storyboard shows highly suggestive-looking launchers from a pink limo Fizzarolli has stepped out of in another shot [50] [54]. A sign that some footage of the trailer for the second season could be part of the first season’s finale is how he is performing some new tricks at Ozzie’s. Besides the returns of Fizzarolli, Asmodeus and Striker, I still wonder if there will be a rematch against the D.H.O.R.K.S. when it comes to avoiding exposure to the human world [61] [109]. Well, that technically already happened in the partially non-canon pilot [59]. Cliffhangers are worth solving eventually, right?

What’s an interpretation of Hell without bad guys? How will the cliffhanger from “The Harvest Moon Festival” be solved? It would be amusing if Striker would do a country-rock cover of Violent Vincent’s song [110] [111], considering he has been violent himself. [54]

Oi! What’s the big idea, Fizz?! Why did you take one of Blitzo’s ponies and point at it? There’s nothing wrong with being a brony! Oh wait. He also took the keys to the van. That does not sound good. [54]

In all honesty, I believe that the LGBT representation of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel could have been a little better, but there is hope that it will greatly expand in the second season. As previously stated, the relationship between Stolas and Blitzo ought to keep evolving, leading to some more enhanced character development [58]. As a supporter of same-sex adoption, I would love to see a same-sex couple with adopted children of their own at some point in the show as an expansion on its LGBT representation. Hell, there might as well as a new non-binary character in a future episode of Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel [1] [40] [104] [105] [108]. After all, I have a new theory that Alfred Alfer is non-binary due to how he has male genitalia and a feminine voice [112] [113], whether I sadly regret reviewing the animated series he starred in or not [102] [103]. If you think about it, the same theory could apply to Rin from Catherine: Full Body and Riley from Inside Out [16] [43]. As for the second season of Helluva Boss, two male characters dancing together could be an example of enriched LGBT representation [7]. Care to sign Gora Killiams’ petition to stop homosexuality and transgenderism from being considered “sins” [19]?

Ever since it was confirmed that a second season is happening in the Live Q&A back in November, we Hazbeans rooting for some great representation of transgenderism became aware that some development will await Sallie May [55] [107]. I cannot wait to see what further development she will consist of. [60]

How about some same-sex dancing for Season Número Dos, amigos [7]? [54]

We are yet to find out what the Sloth Ring, Gluttony Ring and Envy Ring are like after being exposed to the depths of the Pride Ring, Greed Ring, Wrath Ring and Lust Ring [31] [35] [38] [42]. I adore the outcome of the Lust Ring in “Ozzie’s” as it was all star-studded with sexual and satanic imagery, as well as a little cameo made by Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel [35] [58]. Could one of the extra two rings mentioned by Katie Killjoy be the Despair Ring since Despair was considered an extra deadly sin, according to ancient Catholicism [5] [13] [77] [82]? If so, I do not doubt that it would be a very small one. Could Fizzarolli’s next performance be held at Crystal Stadium, a location at the Lust Ring mentioned on a certain jumper [104] [105]? Apart from the possibility of what the other three rings of Hell could be like [38], I think the soundtrack used for the trailer might be the instrumental for another musical number [50] [54], considering that the songs in the first season are in different genres and styles of music. What kinds of songs could be sung in any of the three yet-to-be-revealed rings [104] [105]? Will any of them be a reprise?

I believe that this particular scene in progress will be a stadium in the Lust Ring with a colour palette to match its aspects [104] [105]. I think the Rings of Sloth, Envy and Gluttony ought to have their own unique aspects, such as differently coloured and detailed skies. [54]

There are ways for the writing to be even better in the second season, even though there will always be the big risk of causing an episode to be a dud. Any duds would likely make a Hazbean want to convert to New Theism, accepting Shrek with a fedora into their heart as their lord and saviour [48]. Nevertheless, I am up for the second season enhancing the show’s legacy even further with many new elements. As previously mentioned, the cruelty towards Moxxie ought to be toned down just a notch as perhaps new development awaits him. There is even a possibility of characters finding new love interests during a run that is likely to happen in 2022, much like how Retsuko ended up having a different love interest in the second season of Aggretsuko [2] [71]. Since such a possibility can provide a little realism as many people go through break-ups and start new relationships eventually in real life, could there be a love triangle that does not involve glittery vampires and buff werewolves [85]? I am sure that the second part of Season One’s finale will be an outstanding expansion on the events of “Ozzie’s” [37] [58].

There could also be some backstory for Fizzarolli in the second season and how he became antagonistic towards Blitzo. After all, could that young imp be him in one of his old photos at the end of “Ozzie’s” [37] [58]? [54]

Gora Killiams, my impsona must have written a parody of one of the songs from Catz: Da Musical based on the Daylight saga by now [10] [20]. And no, I do not mean the Bratz Catz toy lines [3] [4] [8] [9]. And yes, I know the older Voxtagram stories are non-canon [41], but I believe that some Hazbeans can still consider them canon if they would like to. [10]

Why isn’t there an official Japanese dub of the pilot of Helluva Boss yet [53]? Is it because the Japanese dub of “That’s Entertainment”, the pilot of Hazbin Hotel might have failed to appeal to enough Japanese cartoon fans aged eighteen and over [108], quite like how Jak II and the original Xbox failed to sell successfully in Japan [17] [18]? Open-mindedly, I think there can be a different way for both properties to be more appealing in Japan. Maybe there can be a series of novels based on either Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss with depictions of characters having five fingers on each hand instead of just four to avoid causing any inconsideration [86] [104] [105]. I am aware that Medrano has expressed interest in anime, but a graphic novel does not have to be completely manga-styled to appeal to a Japanese audience if it will already appeal to a Western audience. All it would take is just an extra finger on each hand. Two novels based on an adult-oriented property being marketed well in Japan worked for Catherine, right [14] [15]? Aside from my suggestion, I am up for an official Italian dub of the pilot and an official Latin American Spanish dub of more of the first season soon [28] [33] [40].

Similarly, I still recommend that the forthcoming TV series of Hazbin Hotel ought to make a reasonable regional difference to become more appealing to a Japanese audience [104] [105]. [53]

I see a lot of potential for the new chapter already [50] [54]. However, I still believe that a follow-up of “C.H.E.R.U.B.S.” can be a sign of some minor improvement [103] [105]. Similarly, I would also be up for a chronological sequel to the 2016 reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise that makes up for its highly notable flaws, which will also make up for how many critics and fans of the franchise were dissatisfied with the outcome of Ghostbusters II [29] [30]. I am currently anxious about the new omicron variant possibly corrupting the Christmas break [44] [45], in spite of how I got my booster jab and whether or not I should eventually continue my interest in gaming journalism [95] [106], but I know that I still rely on the originality and quirkiness of Helluva Boss to help me cope. I wonder if a mistake I made in an article on Catherine: Full Body before its release can lead to a PlayStation 5 port featuring an exclusive brand new sauna at the Stray Sheep [96] [97] [98] [99]. In the meantime, I will look forward to the next season of Helluva Boss, as well as the finale of the first season [32] [50] [54] [58]. Those who are also in favour of a continuation of Hazbin Hotel can give me a “HELL YEAH!!!” [40] [94] [108]. Adios, Hazbeans!

My thoughts on “Ozzie’s”, the seventh episode of Season One will be combined with my thoughts on the eighth one as a full evaluation of what I think of the season finale. As a Hazbean, I shall look forward to more Helluva Boss, much like how my boyfriend is looking forward to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 [89]. In the meantime, I shall continue to follow my passion for parodying songs [81]. [58]

One more thing before we return to the mortal realm with our grimoires. DO NOT CALL STOLAS AT 3AM [68] [70]!!! Well, unless he might as well just help us ban TikTok [69]. I sure have a corny way of expressing things with words [83], which will lead me to keep doing what I can do. Stay sinful! [61]
